Biography
Marty, a one-time self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie, has spent years exploring his limits physically, emotionally and spiritually.  He has traveled extensively on his personal path to knowledge, and worn the hats of everything from a dishwasher scrubbing pots in the corner of a small restaurant to a Czech speaking Counterintelligence Agent looking for terrorists in villages near the Afghan/Pakistan border.

At 26 Marty began to question the nature of his universe, and what it was to be a good man, so he completed his military service, limited his high adventure to some less dangerous activities such as rock climbing and stunt dating, and began to focus on what he had learned and what lay before him.  At 32 Marty found happiness with a beautiful woman and the three children he is proud to say, “I was able to choose.”  Being a stepfather (and then later having a son of his own), he has discovered challenges, mysteries and new ways of getting “the rush” he used to get jumping out of airplanes and swimming with sharks as he tries to help guide the lives of his children and grow his family.  Marty notes that some of my children are finally old enough to grudgingly say those magical words, “You were right.”, but he acknowledges his journey is still far from over.

Marty is currently working as a Global Quality Program Manager for Hewlett Packard with a Six Sigma “Black Belt” background, but he loves helping out when he can in his six year old son’s martial arts classes, and enjoys getting beat up a bit on his own my quest for a different type of Black Belt.
