| Biography |
Despite
his irreversible disability, AlejAndro Anastasio has devoted
his life in teaching, challenging and inspiring people to live
a life of greatness with what they have. Born without his left
hand, he refused to be discouraged and took his challenge as
an opportunity for personal growth.
What, however, sets AlejAndro apart as a motivational speaker
is his authenticity and ability to relate his triumphs over
adversities with the challenges his audiences are
experiencing. An extremely positive man, Mr. Anastasio is a
walking testimony of what you can achieve if you don’t
consider your limitation as an obstacle but an inspiration to
be more than you are.
Destined to fail from the day he was born, AlejAndro defied
the odds on his way to achieving three Black Belts and owning
a training school for Martial Art for 10 years. He holds a
degree in Sociology from the University of Washington and is a
popular speaker at conferences, schools, corporations and
government workplaces.
With his knack of storytelling and ability to interweave
music, humor and performance into his presentations, AlejAndro
inspires and empowers individuals and groups to focus beyond
their real or perceived limitations and live their dreams. He
believes that nothing is impossible if people truly have faith
in themselves.
A self proclaimed “Champion of Life,” AlejAndro is an artist
and works as an illustrator for the Bureau of Reclamation. His
many accomplishments include martial art sensei, orator, fine
artist, business owner, performance artist, traveling by
bicycle from Seattle to Chicago, musician, philanthropist,
pool shark, bicycling newsletter founder/editor, and mentor.
When asked what it is like living his entire life with one
hand, AlejAndro says, “It is truly and deeply a blessing. I
enjoy not having two hands. Not only do I have the opportunity
to inspire people to be more than they think is possible, I
also get 50% off all manicures.”
AlejAndro’s programs are enlightening and entertaining as he
taps into the more meaningful aspects of life with a one
handed twist. |
